Hanon Systems is a global full-line supplier of automotive thermal energy management solutions. With +50 Manufacturing sites supported by three global Innovation Centers and 23 Engineering sites in 21 countries, Hanon Systems employs more than +21.000 people.
The European Innovation Center is based in Kerpen, Germany.
The facility serves as a research and development center and also includes offices for the commercial and functional teams supporting global automakers based in the European region. By design, the site facilitates a collaborative work environment that allows dedicated teams to focus on the development of components and systems supporting the company’s vision to be a leader in innovative thermal and energy management solutions.
The plant area in Campiglione is 29.000 squaremeters tall. It contains the production of smart actuators – engine cooling fans and electric water pumps.
Moreover, the Body Electronics Systems and HMI as well as industrial products, for example joysticks, fork-lift truck controllers or displays. The technological focus is on automated production lines for brushless DC motors and automated needle winding machines for smart actuators.
As an integral part of the product development process, the facility provides component and system-level test capabilities across a full range of environmental, vibration and durability test equipment for design and manufacturing validation, and advanced development. The site also includes a climatic and an acoustic chamber.
